Actions tab

The Actions tab, in the sidebar to the right of the session replay, provides a detailed view of user interactions and events that occurred during a recorded session. This can help understand user flow and troubleshoot technical issues. Within this tab, you can select from various filters to refine the displayed events, includingVisited Links, Interactions, and Events Timeline.

Visited links filter

The Visited Links filter lists all the web pages visited during the recorded session. Each entry includes:

  • URL path: The path of the visited link. Clicking this link jumps to the specific point in the replay where the user visited that link.

  • Duration: The amount of time the user spent on that webpage.

Interactions

Interactions filter

The Interactions filter provides a list of all user interactions captured during the session replay. The timeline progresses from top to bottom, with events at the top happening earlier in the session. The search bar allows you to filter user interactions based on their descriptions. Each entry includes:

  • Interaction icon: An icon representing the type of interaction (e.g. click, typing). Hovering over the icon shows the time in the session replay where the interaction occurred.

  • Description: A concise summary of the user's action, including phrases like clicked on (button)or Ended typing .

Clicking on an interaction in the list, either on the icon or the description, will jump you directly to that moment in the replay.

Events Timeline

The Events Timeline filter differs from the Interactions filter by displaying a broader range of events. It includes everything captured during the session replay, such as:

  • User interactions: Clicks, typing, etc.

  • Network requests: Data being loaded from or sent to the server.

  • Navigation information: Page loads, URL changes, etc.

The search bar allows you to filter these events based on their descriptions.
